about:

Hi, I'm a Tina Tarighian.

I code, play, and write with and about AI at the Google Creative Lab in NYC. I'm also a Y11 NEW INC member, the New Museum's technology and art incubator.

I give talks on everything from javascript at Parsons School of Design to AI’s future in art at ARTECHOUSE—plus the occasional play opening, like Doomers NYC, exploring our ties to artificial intelligence.

If you want to chat (I always do btw) or collaborate please: email me, tweet me, gram me, are.na me

What I read on the subway: thoughts, essays, speculations on AI, art, and the digital condition.

The ombromanie (shadow puppetry) on my splash page is an astute metaphor for the relationship between my work and my art. How can my hands (my work) create the vision (my art) that germinates in my mind? And what if my visions directly sprout from my hands instead of my mind?

My art needs to be informed by innovation and experimenting and living in the real world. Just as the best shadows come from light proceeding from the smallest possible point, the most impactful art emerges from focused, deliberate exploration.

And ultimately... the art drives me to work. I wouldn't need to contort my hands if I didn't want to make the shadow in the first place. How to make a Rabbit Shadow
